The WDM Historical Society presents an Iowa history series at the WDM Public Library. Ages 18 & up. No registration.

October 21 -- A Death in the Family: Victorian Death Rituals  |  Speaker: Joan Ferry

The mirrors are covered, black crepe ribbons are on the door and the ladies of the house are airing out their black dresses. There's been a death in the family, and Joan Ferry will talk about Victorian death customs, some familiar, some not.
