Stories with Spotty: World-Changing Women

Hi, friends! My name is Spotty! 

I love playing hide and seek. Every week, I find a new place to hide in the library and wait for all of my friends to find me! But here’s the thing. When I’m hiding, I have to be super quiet, so I can’t tell you about all the other things I love to do! One of my very favorite things to do is READ, READ, READ! That’s why I decided to start this blog – a place where I can tell you about a few of my favorite books each week!  

Today, I get to share some books about world-changing women! Women across the globe have been making big differences throughout ALL of history. And I love to read their amazing stories!

Remember: Just because these books are about girls doesn’t mean they’re just for girls. These are awesome, inspiring, and engaging books for EVERYBODY! Here are five of my favorites... 

1. She Persisted by Chelsea Clinton

This book tells the story of thirteen heroic American women who fought for change even when it was really hard. From Harriet Tubman to Clara Lemlich to Sally Ride, this book spans disciplines and centuries with its inspiring stories and colorful illustrations. They persisted, and so can you!
