Stories with Spotty: Using the Potty

Hi, friends! My name is Spotty!

I love playing hide and seek. Every week, I find a new place to hide in the library and wait for all of my friends to find me! But here’s the thing. When I’m hiding, I have to be super quiet, so I can’t tell you about all the other things I love to do!

One of my very favorite things to do is READ, READ, READ! I love to read all sorts of books for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes, I even read to learn how to do something new!

When I was first learning how to use the big kid potty, I read lots of books about other kids who were learning to use the potty too. These books helped me learn what to do when I feel like I need to go, realize that it’s okay to have accidents, and be brave.

When I finally pooped on the potty, I felt so proud! I hope you can feel proud too. That’s why I’m going to share five of my favorite potty training books with you today!

Daniel is so excited for the day that he doesn’t want to sit on the toilet, but once he realizes he needs to go potty on the trolley, he has to turn around and go back home.
