Stories with Spotty: BIG Feelings

Hi, friends! My name is Spotty!

I love playing hide and seek. Every week, I find a new place to hide in the library and wait for all of my friends to find me! But here’s the thing. When I’m hiding, I have to be super quiet, so I can’t tell you about all the other things I love to do! That’s why I decided to start this blog – a place where I can tell you about a few of my favorite books each week!

One of my very favorite things to do is READ, READ, READ! Sometimes, I read for fun. Sometimes, I read to learn. Sometimes, I read to help me get through challenges.

One of those challenges is handling my BIG feelings. When I feel really sad or angry or scared or excited, I just don’t know what to do. But there are some books that have helped me figure out how I’m feeling and what to do about it! Here are five of my favorites...

1. The Color Monster by Anna Llenas

The Color Monster

The color monster’s emotions are all jumbled up! In this vibrant book, the color monster learns how to identify happiness, sadness, anger, fear, calm, and finally love. This story is a favorite for toddlers and older school-age students alike!
