Purpose of Meeting

Strong communities actively include and engage people of all backgrounds. The “Meet Your Neighbors” series offers opportunities to understand why people from all around the world are making West Des Moines and surrounding communities their new home. Through panel discussions and Q&A sessions, “Meet Your Neighbors” will help long-term residents and newcomers interact, communicate, ask questions, and get to know one another. Inspired by groups around the nation hosting similar events, we believe the best place to find out about your new neighbors is from your new neighbors themselves. The evening will be facilitated by Caryn Kelly and Leslie Olsen of ViewPoints. ViewPoints is an interdisciplinary team specializing in creating opportunities for people to learn from one another in order to find innovative solutions to the problems facing us as individuals and communities.
