NOTE:  This event is now Closed to new applications, as the 100-person limit has been reached.  If you've already been approved for pickup, you will do so at the library at this event.  

 

Thanks to funding from the City of West Des Moines, WDM Human Services is partnering with PCs for People to give away FREE desktops, laptops and internet hotspots to income-eligible households. 

 

You MUST register ahead of time via the PCs for People site created for this WDM event.

 

You can also scan the QR code to get to the event site. Registration is required and supplies are limited. PLEASE NOTE: The registration form will ask for payment - . Please disregard the CREDIT CARD option and select CASH. (NOTE: You will not be asked for payment information to complete registration, and you will not be asked to pay anything the day of the event all devices are FREE for this event)   

If you are approved for free technology, you will pick up the equipment up at the WDM Library on Thursday, September 7th from 9am - 2pm.  

Available Packages: Full Desktop Set (Includes tower, monitor, mouse, and keyboard); Laptop (Includes power cord); Internet Hotspot and 12 months free internet service (normally $60 for hotspot, and $16/month for internet subscription).  Computers are normally $150, but will be FREE at this event only! One (1) computer per household. Limited supply.

How to Register:

  • Customer must register at the link above.
  • Customer must upload proof of SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance participation, or documentation showing a household income less than 200% of federal poverty guidelines or 60% area median income.*
  • Customer must upload a valid photo ID.
