Iowa History: POW camps

Did you know that Iowa had 25,000 German, Italian and Japanese prisoners of war from 1942 to 1946?  Please join us for a program from author Linda Betsinger McCann about her research for her book, Prisoners of War in Iowa. She will talk about how she first started writing her books about Iowa history, as well as the research that went into this book. Come learn about her journey, enjoy her stories, and learn about pieces of Iowa history you may never have known existed!

Linda Betsinger McCann has lived in Iowa her whole life and has written several books about Iowa history and stories.  One of our state’s most prolific researchers, Linda has traveled and spoken to hundreds of people about Iowa’s rich history.
