Event Details

Illumifest, A Fall Festival of Light, offers a variety of activities and events for people of all ages! Join us for this family friendly event that has made this festival the fastest growing community event in West Des Moines.  

2017 Schedule of Events

4:00pm - Inflatables & Food Vendors Open (Various fees apply) 
4:00-7:00pm - FREE Paddle Boat Rides 
4:00-7:00pm - Free Train Rides -- In the WDM Library parking lot, sponsored by the WDM Library Friends Foundation
4:00pm - Chinese Association Displays and Exhibits 
5:00pm - FREE Lantern Making (Limited to first 1,000 people)
5:00-7:00pm - FREE Airbrush Tattoos --In the WDM Library Living Room-- 
5:00-7:00pm - Royal Promenade Around the Pond ($10 Registration fee required, includes an autograph booklet and "Royal Princess" photos!) 
5:30pm - FREE Hot Air Balloon Rides (Limited number of rides are available & allow only two people per ride, riders must be 42" tall to ride)
7:30pm - FREE Outdoor Movie: Beauty and the Beast
9:00pm - Fireworks Display over the Campus Pond
