Event Details

Illumifest, A Fall Festival of Light, offers a variety of activities and events for people of all ages!  Join us for this family friendly event from the City of West Des Moines.  

2018 Schedule of Events 

4:00pm - Inflatables & Food Vendors open (Various fees apply) 
4:00pm - Chinese Association Displays and Exhibits 
4:00-7:00pm - FREE Train Rides --at the WDM Library, sponsored by the WDM Library Friends Foundation
5:00pm - FREE Lantern Making starts (Limited to first 1,000 people)
5:00-7:00pm - FREE Airbrush Tattoos --at the WDM Library-- 
5:00-7:00pm - Royal Promenade Around the Pond ($10 Registration fee required, includes an autograph booklet and "Royal Princess" photos!) 
5:30pm - FREE Hot Air Balloon Rides (A limited number of rides are available. Only two people per ride, riders must be 42" tall)
7:30pm - FREE Outdoor Movie: Coco
9:00pm - Fireworks Display over the Campus Pond
