Do you love arts and crafts? Do you have extra supplies taking up space in your home? 

If so, you won’t want to miss the WDM Library Adult Craft Supply Swap on Saturday, November 9. 

 

This is your chance to get your old supplies into the hands of someone who can use them and find some treasures for yourself!  

Drop Off Day (Nov. 8, 9am - 5:30pm) 

Donated craft supplies* will be accepted on Friday, November 8 from 9am-5:30 pm at the Adult Services desk.  Any individual who donates craft supplies will receive a VIP ticket for Early Bird entrance the day of the swap. 

Craft Supply Swap Day – Early Bird (Nov. 9, 10am-10:30 am), Community Room 

Early Bird ticket holders will be allowed to shop early, from 10-10:30am. 

Craft Supply Swap for All (Nov. 9, 10:30am-2pm), Community Room  

From 10:30-2, all are welcome to come and take supplies, whether or not you have items to donate. 

 

Bags will be provided, and any unclaimed supplies will be donated to charity. 

 

*All items should be clean, or gently used. Please, no partial bottles of glue, glue-type liquids, spray paint, or paint thinners or additives.  

Suggested items to donate include: 

  • Yarn 
  • Fabric and felt 
  • Ribbon 
  • Knitting needles, crochet hooks, stitch counters, etc. 
  • Needlework kits (counted cross stitch, embroidery, etc.) 
  • Embroidery/needlework supplies (hoops, floss, Aida fabric, etc.) 
  • Sewing notions (thread, trim/binding, zippers, buttons, etc.) 
  • Rubber stamps, useable ink pads, embossing tools/heat tools 
  • Scrapbooking or card-making supplies, scrapbook embellishments 
  • Paper and cardstock for card-making/scrapbooking 
  • Greeting cards 
  • Beads & beading supplies 
  • Jewelry making supplies and tools 
  • Art supplies, useable art paints, brushes, canvases, graphite/pastels, art paper 
  • Silk flowers/florals/greenery and foam cores/shapes for silk floral arrangements 
  • Decorative containers/baskets for floral arrangements 
  • Instructional craft books and pattern books—knitting, crochet, quilting/sewing, cross-stitch 
  • Patterns—clothing, doll clothing, home décor 
  • Small wood cutouts, unpainted 
  • Picture frames (empty), framing supplies 
  • Craft fun foam sheets or shapes 
  • Stencils 
  • Useable children’s crafts—kits or supplies 
  • Tools in clean, working order
