The Eddie Davis Community Center's mission is to provide efficient service, access and adequate space for the effective delivery of human, social, education, recreation, legal and community based services to families and individuals. Services are available to individuals and families throughout the western suburbs, the metropolitan area, Polk County and surrounding counties, Warren, Dallas and Madison.

At DMACC’s Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families, located on the DMACC Urban Campus, they are helping families and individuals improve their financial position as DMACC helps them achieve their work and career goals.

Iowa VR is an employment program for individuals who experience a disability. We focus on service delivery that assists individuals to prepare for, obtain, retain, and advance in employment. For those who have been determined eligible, it is an individualized program that delivers employment services based on your unique individualized employment plan.

Link Associates is a community based non-profit organization that provides services for more than 900 individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families.  Services offered by more than 300 employees support a full integration into the greater Des Moines community.

Raccoon Forks Microbusinesses, owned and operated by Optimae LifeServices, create jobs in central Iowa for individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses and other barriers to employment.

The SVdP in Des Moines provides personal assistance with food, clothing, educational and job training and other services to people facing economic, emotional or spiritual crises. SVdP also provides services for returning services or those directly impacted by incarceration through their Immersion program.
