Paula Schuette Kraemer is an independent artist living in Madison, Wisconsin. Her etchings and drypoint monoprints and monotypes are colorful, symbolic narratives that over the years have involved themes of childhood and domesticity, security and shelter. Moose, squirrels, birds, bears and other animals have also populated Paula’s prints. In these works, she demonstrates her remarkable way of capturing each animal’s character. Paula attended Vassar College and received her B.S. in Art and her M.A. in Printmaking and Ceramics from the University of Wisconsin. She was in an exhibition at the International Print Center New York in 2004 and has been in several shows at Grace Chosy Gallery in Madison and Suzanne Kohn Gallery in Minneapolis. Paula has pieces included in the collections of 3M Corporation, Sprint, Hubbell Realty Company, The Equitable Company, and Pioneer Hi-Bred International.
