Notary Service Suspended for May

Due to staffing changes, Notary service will not be available at the Library for the month of May, 2024.

West Des Moines City Hall offers free Notary services – please contact them ahead of time to arrange an appointment.

You can also search for Notaries in your area through the State’s Notary Search tool.

The Library is on Regular Hours:

   Monday-Thursday  9am – 9pm 

   Friday  9am - 6pm

   Saturday  9am - 5pm 

   Sunday  2pm - 5pm

We are closed the following days(*):

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Jan)
  • President’s Day (Feb) (staff in-service day)
  • Easter Sunday
  • Mother’s Day (May)
  • Memorial Day (May)
  • July 4th holiday
  • Labor Day (Sept)
  • Thanksgiving Day and Thanksgiving Friday (Nov)
  • December 24th and 25th (Christmas).
  • December 31st (New Year's Eve Day)

We close at 5pm on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.*
